Document templates
Write meeting minutes, letters and reports in seconds: upload a Word document you already use, and BuildFlow fills a fresh copy from your rough notes — keeping your firm's exact formatting.
Adding a template
- Go to Templates in the sidebar and upload a .docx file — a real example of the document, e.g. last week's minutes.
- BuildFlow studies it once and works out the fields — the parts that change each time (date, attendees, decisions…). The parts that never change stay exactly as they are in your file.
Reviewing the fields (one time)
When the template shows Ready to review, open it and check the field list. Rename anything unclear, remove anything wrong, and confirm. You only do this once per template.
Generating a document
- Press Generate on the template. Pick the project.
- Paste your rough notes (or attach a file — even a photo of handwritten notes). Typos are fine — spelling and grammar are cleaned up automatically.
- Press Preview fill. BuildFlow shows every field with the value it pulled from your notes.
- Check and edit anything — every field is editable, and nothing is invented that isn't in your notes.
- Press Generate document. The finished Word file lands in the project's Documents, formatted exactly like your original.
If a template shows Md only, BuildFlow couldn't map that file's formatting — generation still works but produces a simple text document instead of a styled Word file.
