BuildFlow Help Guides for the BuildFlow app

Workspaces & projects

A workspace groups related projects. A project is one building job — it gets its own board, documents, photos, timeline and team.

Creating a workspace

  1. From the Workspaces page, choose New workspace.
  2. Give it a name — a client's name or your firm's name works well.

Creating a project

  1. Open a workspace and choose New project.
  2. Give it a name, e.g. Lunuganga Residence.
  3. Add a short code — a few letters like luga. BuildFlow suggests one from the name; you can change it. The code numbers your tasks: luga-01, luga-02… These little references make it easy to mention tasks in chats and site meetings. You can leave the code empty if you don't want numbered tasks.

Project settings

Every project has a Settings tab (next to Board, Documents and Timeline). There you can:

Deleting a project removes its board, documents and photos from view. If you're unsure, rename it instead — nothing is lost by renaming.

Project cover photo

Every project shows a cover photo on its card and at the top of the project — BuildFlow picks it automatically from your clearest site photo, so it fills in on its own as photos come in. No site photos yet? The project shows a simple placeholder until one is.
